What is NovaCam?
An Android app plus a Windows app that turns your phone into a webcam. The PC sees a camera called NovaCam, so OBS, Zoom, Discord and Chrome can use it.
Does it overheat my phone?
NovaCam uses the hardware H.264 encoder and GPU effects, and pauses background effects automatically when the phone gets warm.
Does it work over USB and Wi-Fi?
Yes. Wi-Fi is automatic. USB mode uses adb for the lowest lag.
Is my video sent to the internet?
No. It goes directly from your phone to your PC over your local network or USB.
Is it free?
Yes. The Android app shows a small banner ad only while streaming is stopped.
